12/06/2008 (Silver Spring) Rich Valley Road Structure Fire : Structure fire of an outbuilding on a large horse farm near the Conodoguinet creek. Only small apparatus could make it to the actual scene due to the very small access path down the hill from the main buildings. It was quite cold, ambient temperature was around 15 degrees F. Fire was initially reported by passers-by on Interstate 81 just on the other side of the creek.

11/29/2008 (Camp Hill) Market Street Fire : 2nd Alarm fire in a commercial structure on Market Street in Camp Hill. Fire was thought o be in the walls and extending to the attic space so the second alarm was struck. Ended up being contaned within the structure with little visible from the outside.

11/27/2008 (Camp Hill) 30th Street Basement Fire : Box 14-06. Initial call was from a house around the corner on Market Street. Initial crews found smoke showing but little visible fire. There was little to be seen externally.

07/01/2008 (Hampden) Sioux Drive House Fire : Dispatched at approx. 1800 hours for a fire in a garage attached to a house. Police arrived on scene and confirmed the fire. A few extra units were called in as a heat precaution, however given that it was the first week of July the temperature was very pleasant.

2/24/2008 (Lemoyne) Hummel Avenue House Fire : First crews arrived on scene for a working basement fire. Fire quickly extended into the balloon frame structure to the upper floors. Fire was attacked from both the front and rear of the structure. Due to the split of crews and low initial manpower, 2nd and 3rd alarms were called. With the cold the weather and all the water it got very icy. However no injuries were reported.

12/26/2007 (Silver Spring) Wild Rose Lane House Fire : Box 31-07, 22:35. Initially dispatched as a garage fire, quickly escalated to a fully involved house fire and a second alarm. Quick knockdown by first engine prevented a prolonged attack. Tankers setup a shuttle but the line to the main road was never charged.
